I’m on my period day 1.

I gave a breathwork class today, chilled there forever and now I’m on my way back home to bed right now. I cancelled everything.

.

I’d love to rest 1-3 days on my period. Often I do, but life doesn’t always align to your plans like that. So you work with what you have. It’s not about stressing yourself out over being in tune with your body perfectly all the time. That doesn’t exist. But more so, listening to your body, looking at the reality and adjusting as much as you can.
.
Painkiller might be something you prefer not to use. When you need to pack your bags and go on a plane, you might need to take that painkiller. That’s ok. Don’t beat yourself up for it. I did that once and I took painkiller today too. But I know it’s a very rare occasion.
.
I eat KFC once in a while, I love chocolate and I drink occasionally. I eat everything depending on what my body needs. I definitely have a weakness towards the Leibniz biscuit chocolate 😍
.
There’s no right way to go about living your life consciously. It’s about balance and choosing what serves you the best. So don’t beat yourself up and come back to balance the next day ❤️

Dancing with the sunset 🌅

Two dances I went to this week have been beautiful ✨

.

I learn so much through dancing, with myself and with others. Especially with others, I see where I’m aloof, where I’m needy, where I’m people pleasing, where I’m in my head, where I’m not clear with my boundaries. It reflects instantly all around me.
.
I notice and bring my energy back to myself. I give myself what I want to receive from others in my sovereignty and in my power. In that place, I know I’m safe because I can hold myself. Its very loving, freeing and empowering.
.
I partner up with myself, my inner masculine and feminine dance together. I feel whole and complete. I see everyone on the dancefloor as whole and complete, all unique and beautiful in their own way.

Few weeks ago, when Amanda Dutson and I held a shamanic yoga & breathwork journey, it happened to be all women. It was very sacred and beautiful ✨

By the end of it, it was obvious to me to start holding women’s only breathwork journeys. .

Dancing with the ☀️ and 🌳 today

I started reading Sweat Your Prayers: Movement as Spiritual Practice by Gabrielle Roth, the creator of #5rhythms 🔥

I’m 5 pages in and am already crying.

I go to the Sweaty Thursdays for 5rhythms, 7pm at St Peter’s Church every Thursday. You just turn up, no need to know how to dance. The dances in the church will continue until the end of October. Come join before then, let’s dance together 🙏🏼

I’ve been avoiding doing this for 2 years and did every possible thing not to do it. Then just now, decided it’s time to let go of my stories and show up. Omg its such a relief 🙏🏼

Whenever you see a post, video, workshop, a book being published, a beautiful relationship being created, an exhibition put together.. You only see the end result. Unless they share you have no idea what they’re going through 😉 I try to share as much as I can but I can’t share everything. And sometimes it’s just not serving to share. I’m just in my Ego and I will share when I get out of it when there’s gold made from that lead 🙂
.
So when someone shares something, remember you’re seeing only a part of their life they’re choosing to share, not the whole picture. Everyone has something going on, everyone. If they tell you they’re good and have no problem, they’re unconscious to it. Just because you can’t see something, doesn’t mean it’s not there.
.

I was in my Ego quite a bit this week.

Every 3 months or so, I have a major doubt in myself, what I do in my life. My Ego flares up in many ways. I also reflect on my life every 3 months, complete on things, acknowledge what I created and create new visions for the next 3 months. So my Ego also comes up when I step up in order to keep me safe, small and where I am.

.

No matter how much you live your purpose, your Ego gets in the way. No matter how amazing people’s lives may look from the outside or on social media, everyone has their Ego going on. This is why I try to be as transparent as I can when it serves to share.
.
As you step up, you’re just gonna get better at knowing yourself and your Ego’s patterns. So next time, you see someone celebrating something on social media, join them. It took them one hell of an inner battle to get there 💥
.
I have a lot of determination and resilience in me so I know I won’t give up. I can’t really. It’s not an option. I cannot not do what I love.
.
Next time you feel you’re in Ego, follow these steps:
- Close your eyes.
- Take 3 deep breaths.
- Acknowledge your Ego when its come up as a mechanism to keep you safe, small and secure
- Ask yourself, “What am I thinking?”
- Ask, “What am I feeling?”
- Ask, “What are those thoughts and feelings telling me to do? (or not do?)”
- Imagine a golden ball of light above you that is your greatness, your higher self. Imagine you’re lifting yourself off from your thoughts and feelings and connecting with your higher self.
- Ask, “What’s the truth?” “What’s in the highest?” “What would my higher self do?”
- Follow that 🙂

After 14 hours of sleep, dancing and crying, punching pillows, reconnecting to my higher self, I feel connected to my truth ❤️

I was worried of filming this in public about who might see and “judge” me. Then I remembered when you’re worried about how other people see you, they’re just busy worrying about how you see them 😂

Thoughts are always going to be there. It’s about whether you give your power away to them or choose following through on what you’d love to do ❤️

Put a song on and move your body today in any way it wants to move for 5 minutes. It doesn’t have to look good and there’s no right or wrong way 😉
.
The most valuable physical thing we have is our bodies. Your body will appreciate every single minute you spend moving it. When you treat it well, it will give you 10 fold more 😉

✨ I ALLOW ✨

Last week was one of those weeks that felt like a whole month happened in a week 😃

.

✨ Celebrating You, 7 week online course I facilitate, started! We had our first call with incredible women I feel honoured to know.
.
✨ My mum came to visit and joined the breathwork journey we held! She stayed for few days and we created a deeper sense of love and appreciation for each other 🙏🏼
.
✨ 2 women reached out to me wanting to work with me.
.
✨ Yesterday I held a Goddess Circle, workshop for women, an evening of letting go and reconnecting with yourself. I filmed this afterwards 💃🏽
.
All this happened while I was ON MY PERIOD 🔴
.
My life tends to thrive and opportunities seem to come to me while I’m on my period 😃 as I’m more receptive and allowing more. I basically don’t have as much energy to drive forward or even resist. It showed me I don’t have to be on my period to allow. I can receive and allow other times, reminding myself by saying, “I allow.”
.
When everything is flowing, I notice my Ego sneaking in with doubt trying to gain control, telling me:
- This is too good to be true
- Remember last time you were in flow, it all went downhill from there
- You can’t manage all this
.
Then I close my eyes and come back to my heart where I know I can have it all, so can you ❤️
.

Last week, I was on a podcast. We talked about so many things but one thing that stood out was how to get out of your head to come back to your body 💃🏽

.

You might feel like you live in your head a lot, feeling frustrated with your body when you get ill. Or you might feel like you can’t trust your body, it’s not safe to be in your body so you’re better off making sense of things logically. 

.

You have this beautiful vehicle, your body which allows you to move, feel all range of emotions, has a voice and it’s own wisdom. It remembers, it knows what it’s doing without us managing it, it’s truly a miracle.

.

There are sooo many ways to come back to your body. I want to share few I use 🔥

5RHYTHMS

.

I’m super grateful I found this map of life really. It has 5 stages: flowing (like water), staccato (rhythmic movement), chaos (you loose your shit), lyrical (melodical I guess) and stillness (moving with stillness). You move your body through these phases, there is no choreography. You move through your emotions letting them flow into one another.

CHANTING

.

I never got chanting up until 1-2 months when I started to get into it. I would have mornings where I wake up and feel deep loneliness. Chanting connected me back to myself within 5 minutes. It’s a powerful way to connect to your voice, your body and feel the vibrations move through your bodies. 

.

SENSUALITY

.

This is simply, connecting with your senses, especially touch. One simple exercise you can do is to connect with the pleasure in your hands. Grab a pillow. Close your eyes and start caressing the pillow with your hands. Do that for 10 minutes without thinking too much. Have no expectations and see what happens 🙌🏼

BREATHWORK

.

We all breathe but not really. There are so many ways to do this but I lay down, take deep continuous breaths into my body. Inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale without pausing in between. It’s an incredible way to let go of old emotions, old memories, old beliefs. You don’t even need to know what you’re releasing. Your body’s wisdom is working it’s magic ✨

There are so many more embodiment practices.. Yoga, contact improv, parkour, pole dancing, circus arts (silks, rope, trapeze etc), martial arts (ji jitsu, muay thai, kickboxing etc), working out etc. 

.

Try out few things and see which one works for you 😍❤️ I know that I’m not a fan of sitting down meditation for example and never fully got into yoga, but I know that I love dancing as a way to meditate ✨

.
