Paulo Coelho

I finished reading The Witch of Portobello by Paulo Coelho today.

I want to share this quote from the book with you👇🏼

.

“I’m afraid of taking steps that are not on the map, but by taking those steps despite my fears, I have a much more interesting life.”

.

Life is what you make it. We often grow up following a path that is set out without questioning if its even true for us. There is no set way of living your life. What we’re taught is only one version. If that doesn’t resonate, go out and explore. It’s never too late. Try things. Make mistakes. No one will tell you off.
.
I’m in the unknown most of the time. Half the time, I feel scared or anxious. Half the time, I trust and surrender. I wouldn’t have it any other way as there is no magic or growth on the safe side of controlled living.
.
People tell me I’m courageous and here’s why: In those moments of fear, I go forward because I don’t want to live with the regret of thinking what would have happened if I did take a chance. Living fully and not wanting to regret becomes stronger than the fear stopping me. When you take a risk, universe rewards you, so it turns out great most of the time. And even when I f*ck up big time, I have a lesson to take away.
.
Start doing what you want to do and everything else will be revealed to you. Have one foot in the responsibilities in your current reality and one foot in the next steps in your vision. Take it one small step at a time 🤗
.
I love you 💛

Most of my childhood was spent in books.

I would read few books in a week and that was my life really, I absolutely loved it.

.

For the last few years, I didn’t create much time to read just for the sake of it. I’ve read non-fiction educational books to learn and grow but not soulful novels, stories and poetry that I love ❤️

.

So I started creating time for it again by reading Paulo Coelho’s books in nature without my phone 🍃
.
I started going into Hampstead Heath near where I live, without my phone or knowing the time (I leave 2-3 hours window as I feel complete in that period) with just coffee and a book.
.
Every time I feel down, disconnected, stressed out, worried, being in nature and reading his words connects me right back to myself. One day, I wish to be able to write books that have so much Soul in them like he has done ❤️
.
I’ve read both his books the Alchemist and Eleven Minutes in the last few weeks. I’d love to share some bits I loved 👇🏼
.

.
From the Alchemist 💫
.
“Tell your heart that the fear of suffering is worse than the suffering itself. And that no heart has ever suffered when it goes in search of its dreams, because every second of the search is a second’s encounter with God and with eternity.”
.
From Eleven Minutes 💕
.
“When I had nothing to lose, I had everything. When I stopped being who I am, I found myself.”
.

.
Find what reconnects you with your essence, your Soul, especially for the times you go into dark places as your therapy. Maybe it’s dancing, maybe it’s singing playing your guitar, maybe it’s writing, maybe it’s meditating, maybe it’s painting.
.
Whatever it is, do it for the sake of doing it without any outcome, just for yourself ❤️
.
What connects you with your essence? What’s your therapy? I’d love to hear 💫

I love you 💛
